Local FFA Member Receives Grant from Agricultural Experience Tracker “AET” .

A $1,000 Livestock SAE grant has been awarded to Olivia Massman of Ossian, IA by Agriculture Experience Tracker.

The SAE grant is designed to help FFA members create and enhance their supervised agricultural experience (SAE), a requirement that all FFA members must complete. An SAE requires FFA members to create and operate an agriculture related business, work at an agriculture-related business or conduct an agricultural research experience. Upon completion, FFA members must submit a comprehensive report regarding their career development experience.

Massman is a member and chapter secretary of the South Winneshiek FFA Chapter and was selected from over 3,000 applicants nationwide.

Quote from Massman’s Advisor, Melissa Hageman “Olivia is an outgoing and hard-working student she is among eight South Winn Students who applied for this grant. Olivia has excelled in her SAE as she has competed in the areas of Diversified Livestock and advanced to state in her respective area.” “100% of South Winneshiek FFA members have SAE’s. There are many financial rewards in FFA for those who keep accurate and efficient records.”
