Voluntary Educational Enrichment Opportunities Guidance for Parents
South Winneshiek will provide Voluntary Educational Enrichment Opportunities for our students while school buildings are closed. Student participation is voluntary and no grading or credit is given. Opportunities will be offered as equitably as possible taking into consideration the needs of students; with disabilities, learning English, who lack access to technology including internet or devices for learning.

Teachers will develop and promote learning opportunities that:

focus on critical standards to prepare students for the following school year

utilize current curriculum & resources

are not graded, although feedback should be provided

integrate social emotional support

are delivered through Schoology for grades 6-12, Google Doc, SeeSaw, Google Classroom Class Dojo,or Padlet for K-5
*Specials, ELL, Title, TAG, School Counselors special education teachers will collaborate with classroom/content area teachers and send activity ideas through them.
Recommended Student Learning:
Our recommended guidelines for maximum student commitment each day are as follows:
Preschool – 30 minutes
Kindergarten & 1st grade – 45 minutes
2nd & 3rd grades- 60 minutes
4th & 5th grades – 90 minutes
6th – 12th grades- Maximum of 3 hours (30 minutes per teacher)
