The South Winneshiek Boys & Girls Cross Country teams both placed 2nd at the 2025 Upper Iowa Conference Cross Country meet at Elkader yesterday.
The South Winneshiek Girls scored 45 points to Waukon’s 41 points. South Winneshiek’s runners finished in this order:
6th Ava Franzen, 7th Annie Hageman, 8th Addy Conway, 10th Maddy Jansen, 14th Lauren Ondrashek, 28th Kaylie Bruess, 31st Helen Maldonado.
In the boys race, the South Winneshiek Boys scored 49 points to Waukon’s 37. Here’s the rundown of the South Winneshiek Boys’ runners:
UIC Champion Hugh Conway, 4th Cameron Einck, 6th Brad Dahl, 10th Tony Elsbernd, 28th Levi Winings, 32nd Caden Tieskoetter, 34th Augie Wiltgen.
