Reminder – Virtual Learning protocol for inclement weather days

Reminder – Virtual Learning protocol for inclement weather days

Our first cancelation due to weather was last Friday, January 14.  This was a “traditional snow day” with NO virtual learning.

If we have more days cancelled due to inclement weather, the next two days will be virtual learning days.  In the case of a fourth inclement weather day, we will begin the cycle again (see the schedule below). When school is closed, the announcement will indicate if it’s a virtual learning day. Remember in the event of a late start or an early dismissal, there is no virtual learning.  However, if we start off with a late start and eventually cancel, it could be an E-Learning Day.  This will be noted in the cancelation announcement sent through JMC and placed on KCRG, KWWL, and WXOW.

  • All of our students are issued a technology device, and we have Learning Management Systems (SeeSaw & Schoology) in place for students to access their virtual assignments.
  • Some of our elementary teachers have elected to send snow day learning packets home in place of online learning; look for your child’s teacher to communicate their plans with you.
  • We have created an synchronous/asynchronous high-school schedule for virtual learning days so that students and parents understand our expectations.  Please click on the blue link above to view the schedule
