Virtual Remote (E-Learning) Snow Day Procedures
At the elementary and middle school teachers will be using asynchronous learning (does not require real-time interaction; instead, content is available online for students to access when it best suits their needs) during E-Learning (Inclement Weather) days.
At the high school teachers will be utilizing either synchronous learning (face to face learning via laptop in real-time) or asynchronous learning (does not require real-time interaction; instead, content is available online for students to access when it best suits their needs) during E-Learning (Inclement Weather) days.
We have created a high school bell schedule for E-Learning (Inclement Weather) days so that students and parents understand our expectations. You will find the schedule below.
When school is delayed or students are released early due to inclement weather we will not be using virtual learning. We have a surplus of hours built into our school calendar that can compensate for that missed time.
High School E-Learning (Inclement Weather) Schedule
Period 1: 9:00-9:30
Period 2: 9:30-10:00
Period 3: 10:00-10:30
Period 4: 10:30-11:00
Lunch: 11:00-11:30
Period 5: 11:30-12:00
Period 6: 12:00-12:30
Period 7: 12:30-1:00
Period 8: 1:00-1:30
*There is no E-Learning on late starts or early dismissals.
*The E-Learning day can be either synchronous (face to face via laptop in real-time) or asynchronous (learning not happening at the same time), which will be communicated to students by each of their teachers.
*The schedule above simply gives a schedule for students and teachers to follow if they are using synchronous learning. This also provides office hours if students have questions for their teachers.
*Students do not need to log on during their study halls.
